The Agora Shopping Center was put into service on March 24th, 2003, with its name taken from Agora, which meant bazaar in the ancient times. Since its opening in 2003, Agora Shopping Center has been a leader in customer satisfaction and qualified service, with new and dynamic brands of fashion and entertainment throughout the İzmir region. Agora, offering shopping, an entertainment center, a movie theater, and different options for the young and old alike for the entire day, is the biggest shopping center in İzmir with 178 national and international stores.

On September 10th, 2008 Agora increased its store number from 85 to 178, store field from 13.700 m2 to 30.000 m2, closed space from 41.000 m2 to 90.000 m2, and iparking capacity from 1100 vehicles to 2100 vehicles.

The Agora Shopping Center offers many choices such as clothing, accessories, cosmetics, household textiles, music, book stores, electronics, movies, toys, hobbies and entertainment for the customers' taste. Agora increased the number of restaurants that enrich the customers' appetite and offer different options of world cuisines, with its new building that has come in to service. An a la carte outdoor restaurant keeps serving to the customers after 22.00 (with or without alcohol).

Agora has been the initiator of the investments of other shopping centers in Balçova Town and helped their growth. Moreover Agora increased the real estate prices and brought qualified personnel to the sector.

Agora Shopping Center's frontline faces to Mithatpaşa Avenue that is located in the much used courses in İzmir Mithatpaşa-Üçkuyular-Balçova and its rear front faces the İzmir Çesme highway and Izmir bay.
